What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that enhances and shapes eyebrows. It involves a manual hand-held tool, typically with a small blade made up of tiny needles, creating fine, hair-like strokes in the eyebrow area. These strokes are filled with pigment, mimicking natural eyebrow hair.
The primary purpose of microblading is to give eyebrows a fuller, more defined, and symmetrical look. It addresses issues like sparse eyebrows, uneven eyebrow shape, or creates a polished appearance. Microblading can also cover up scars or gaps in the eyebrows.
The process begins with clients sending photos of current eyebrows to determine if they’re ideal candidates. At the appointment, you and the technician discuss the desired shape and color. Numbing cream minimizes discomfort. The technician carefully creates individual strokes, considering the client’s natural eyebrow shape and facial features. The procedure takes a couple of hours and is semi-permanent, as pigments fade over time. Touch-up sessions maintain the look, as pigments can lighten over a year or more.
